Slowing Down For Gratitude
Do you often run from one activity to the next in the summer months?
Does a summer weekend to you mean you often cram more things into the next two days than you do all week because you just want to relax and have fun?
We often can fall into that trap especially if you only have good weather a few months a year. Instead of trying to squeeze every last drop you can from this weekend how can you slow down a bit and remember to breathe?
One tip is to try and build a 5 minute practice into the start of your weekend morning. That might mean meditating, reading a book, journaling, or sipping your coffee staring out at the sunrise. How can you build in that space to slow down, connect with yourself before the rest of the world needs you. Even if you're a parent build in this time, it might mean waking earlier than you would like to but the weekend is not the time to sleep in as often we see meme's in our culture telling us so.
Part of living a holistic lifestyle is noticing what's true for you and not falling into the traps of everyone is doing it so I must need to as well.
Let us know below how you are going to slow down this weekend & one thing you're grateful for.
